Annual Palm Springs Golf Trip

Last weekend Joanne and I did our annual trip to Palm Springs to golf with my boss and his wife - Bruce and Dar.
It was 102 F the first day, 105 F the 2nd day, and 107 F the 3rd which feels pretty darn hot when you are coming from highs of 65 F.

The courses were beautiful despite the heat, and Joanne and my golf games have improved to double boggey golf!  :)

We are very lucky that Bruce and Dar are patient!

Spring Arizona Visit

I made a spring trip to Arizona to visit friends and family!

First stop was to visit Claire in Prescott!  She is my Highschool buddy - Mitch's daughter.
Claire is finishing her first year of mechanical engineering at Emby-Riddle.

Hopefully, she will be staying for part of the summer with us while she does a summer semester at the Colorado School of Mines.

Next stop was to visit my parents, sisters and families in Phoenix, as well as to visit the new additions to my parents home!  Kitties!
My parents were adopted by "Princess" and soon had kittens as well!  My family loves cats and there was lots of kitty squeezing while I was there.
Mom and Dad are going to keep Princess and the grey kitty that just got named Duffy.

To enjoy a life of a lot of loving!

A win-win all the way around!

More Progress on the Fence

We have finished the next segment of the backyard fence and now have it tied into the house.
All the steel is primered from the arbor to the house, and I will paint it brown when the weather is more predictable.

The fence past the arbor I am going to let rust and not paint.
The rounded corned is done, and now I need to complete the geenhouse cement work
before we finish the fence on the NE corner of the lot.
Still trying to figure out how to layout the greenhouse.  Took a class on passive solar heating for greenhouses at the botanical gardens, and the class changed my mind on how to build mine.

The greenhouse will have to go through the permitting process, so we will see how long that takes.

Hopefully, finishing the fence before the end of the year, so that my fancy gates have a real function.  (and to slow down the teasing from my neighbor, Bob)
